A native Floridian, Patricia moved to New York City in 1971. By 1973 she moved to Duesseldorf with her husband and began an International Trade career working with notible firms such as Nike, Addidas, Mustang Jeans, and Heineken. From 1980 to 1987 she worked for a German trading company, THE OTTO GERDAU CO. est. 1872, with world headquarters situated on Wall and Water Streets in New York City, with over 50 offices worldwide. As Director of International Marketing, Patricia traveled to 24 countries and five continents.
By 1987 Patricia found that she wanted to make a career change, as a real estate investor in Connecticut, she loved searching out historic homes, farm lands and equestrian properties and decided real estate brokerage was the path to her future. In 1987 She became a licensed real estate broker in Connecticut and New York. Her retired husband, William, originally from Chicago, longed for gentler winter months, so by 1988 they made the move to New Mexico.
New Mexico invigorated Patricia's passion for the outdoors and 'forever horizon views'. New Mexico's natural beauty captured and fueled her passion for unique and diverse landscapes and properties. In 1988 she acquired her New Mexico license and began her career in this Land of Enchantment. In 1994, with a sharp eye to the future and a focus on her clients' real estate goals, she began her own real estate brokerage business, PEERLESS PROPERTIES, INC. with a d/b/a of PATRICIA BAREY REAL ESTATE began her association with The National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Now in her 23nd year of real estate brokerage, Patricia continues her real estate business with an unrelenting zest for working with interesting people. Whether selling estate properties, or assisting a Buyer in their next real estate acquisition, her enthusiasum for the business is the hallmark quality that separates Patricia from most brokers. She continues to excel with a knack for bringing together that perfect investment property to the buyer, or selling a client's residence or commercial property. Her expertise are razor sharp and always conducted with forthright insight, coupled with a sense of humour.
Patricia's repertoire includes a variety of services that are custom fitted to clients' needs. She is an avid believer in full disclosure and conducts every transaction to the highest professional standards. She often closes transactions with all parties present, an unusual practice in New Mexico. She believes that a real estate transaction must benefit all parties needs and expectations. Often times these transactions lead to new found friendships between clients.

Among her passions are: Collecting art, antiques and antiquarian books, Classical Music, Gourmet cooking, Horses (Thoroughbreds & Quarterhorses), German & Austrailian Shepherds, hiking and riding in open country.
